Pat Barry Vs. Shane Del Rosario Set For TUF 16 Finale

STUDIO MMA, RIVERSIDE, CA – A heavyweight bout between strikers Pat Barry and Shane Del Rosario has been added to ‘The Ultimate Fighter 16’ Finale on December 15th in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is headlined by TUF 16 coaches Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson, and the season finalist vying for a UFC contract.

UFC officials confirmed the match-up.

Barry [7-5-0 MMA, 4-5-0 UFC] is currently serving as one of Shane Carwin’s assistant coaches on TUF 16. Having gone 1-3 in his last four outings, Barry is in desperate need of a win. After bouncing back from back-to-back losses with a knockout over Christian Morecraft at UFC on FX 1, Barry then suffered a devastating knockout loss to Lavar Johnson at UFC on FOX 3.

After over a year out of action due to injuries, Del Rosario [11-1-0 MMA, 0-1-0 UFC] returned to make his anticipated UFC debut against Stipe Miocic at UFC 146. However, Del Rosario was stopped in the second round due to an array of elbow strikes (TKO). Having tasted defeat for the first time in his career, we can expect a hungry Rosario on December 15th.
