Hector Lombard Takes on Rousimar Palhares at UFC on FX 6 in Australia

STUDIO MMA, RIVERSIDE, CA – A middleweight match-up between Hector Lombard and Rousimar Palhares will serve as the main event at UFC on FX 6 on December 15 in Australia.  Dana White announced the bout via Twitter.

“The Ultimate Fighter: Australia vs. UK” lightweight and welterweight finals are expected to take place at UFC on FX 6.  City and venue have yet to be announced.

Lombard [31-3-1 MMA, 0-1-0 UFC] made his highly anticipated octagon debut at UFC 149, dropping a close but lackluster split decision to Tim Boetsch.   Previously, Lombard was on one of the biggest winning streaks, having not tasted defeat in 25 outings.

Ankle lock specialist Palhares [14-4-0 MMA, 7-3-0 UFC] is coming off a disappointing TKO loss to Alan Belcher at UFC on FOX 3, snapping the Brazilian’s three-fight win streak.
