Mac Danzig Vs. Takanori Gomi Set For UFC on Fuel TV 6

STUDIO MMA, RIVERSIDE, CA – A lightweight showdown between Mac Danzig and Takanori Gomi will go down at UFC on Fuel TV 6 on November 10th in Macau, China. Danzig announced the bout Monday via Twitter.

UFC on Fuel TV 6 marks the promotions first appearance in China.

Danzig [21-9-1 MMA, 5-5-0 UFC], “The Ultimate Fighter 6” winner, has not fought in over four months. His last bout was in April at UFC 145, earning a hard fought unanimous decision victory over Efrain Escudero. Danzig has gone 3-2 in his last five outing; both losses came at the hands of Matt Wiman.

Meanwhile, Gomi [33-8-0-1NC MMA, 2-3-0 UFC] has been struggling to stay afloat in the UFC lightweight division. In 2011, Gomi dropped two submission losses to Clay Guida and Nate Diaz. Gomi most recently bounced back with a TKO victory over Eiki Mitsuoka in February at UFC 144.
