[BREAKING] Lyoto Earns Next LHW Title Shot with Virtuoso KO of Bader

STUDIO MMA, LOS ANGELES, CA — Our sister site MMANytt.se is reporting that Dana White will confer upon Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida the next shot at the light heavyweight title.  Most observers expect Jon Jones to defend his belt against Dan Henderson at UFC 151.  So a Machida-Jones rematch is likely in the making.

The Dragon [18-3-0 MMA] hushed all doubters tonight with an absolutely dominant performance against a determined and strong Ryan Bader [14-3-0 MMA].  Lyoto was all but untouched in the first round, landing a smattering of vicious body kicks and stiff punches on a frustrated Bader.  In the second round, Bader’s urgency got the better of him.  He rushed Machida and was greeted with a precise and powerful straight right that crumpled him.  Lyoto followed with two more right hands that put Bader to sleep.
