STUDIO MMA, RIVERSIDE, CA – On Monday, UFC announced a featherweight bout set for UFC 150.  TUF: Live standout Justin “The American Kid” Lawrence drops to 145 lbs to takes on Max “Blessed” Holloway.

UFC 150: Henderson vs. Edgar II takes place on August 11 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.

Lawrence [4-0-0 MMA, 1-0-0 UFC] had ‘TUF’ wins over WEC vet James Krause and Cristiano Marcello. Before, “The American Kid” suffered a TKO loss to Michael Chiesa in the quarter-finals.  Lawrence rebounded with a devastating kick knockout of John Cofer at TUF: Live Finale.  Earning a combined 80k in bonuses, 40k for each ‘Fight of the Night’ and ‘Knockout of the Night’.

Holloway [5-1 MMA, 1-1-0 UFC] made his octagon debut on short notice against Dustin Poirier at UFC 143, suffering his first career loss via triangle/armbar.  At ‘The Ultimate Fighter: Live’ Finale, Holloway returned to the win column with a unanimous decision over Pat Schilling.
