[RESULTS & HIGHLIGHTS] Bellator 69: Falcao Decisions Spang, Amoussou Edges Rickels
STUDIO MMA, RIVERSIDE – Maiquel Falcao survived an early barrage of punches to take a decisive unanimous decision victory over Andreas Spang at Bellator 69. Falcao also received $100k and was crowned season six middleweight tourney champ. Falcao will now meet Alexander Shlemenko for the Bellator middleweight title.
Additionally, Karl Amoussou edged out a close split decision over previously undefeated David Rickels in order to advance to the welterweight-tourney finals. In a 115-pound women’s featured bout, Jessica Aguilar earned a unanimous decision over Megumi Fujii.
